New Dorrie Doodle Papers

Ana Rocha has designed a range of five 12x12 papers especially for Dorrie Doodle! The papers are inspired by the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and the Scottish landscape. The colours are fantastic for scrapbook layouts featuring overcast Scottish landscapes, and brilliant for cutting up to use for cardmaking.

ATC Swap

Our ‘Doodlers’ card swap group have decided to organise an artist trading card swap, details are below. Look at samples.

Artist Trading Cards originated in Zurich in 1997. They are made for trading with other artists (a creative version of collectable sports cards etc). The only rule for making an ATC is the size; they should be made on card 2.5x3.5 inches (64x89mm). Any materials can be used to make your miniature work of art.
Cards for the swap should be handed in or posted to us for the second Wednesday of the month.
Upcoming themes: June - June (or what June means to you), August - Fruity, September - Fairies/Mystical, October - Autumn.
Make six cards to trade, and you will receive six different cards in return.
On the back of your cards you should put a title, your signature, any material details you wish to share, the date, and the card number in the set (identical cards) or series (different cards on the same theme).
You do not need to put your cards in trading card envelopes or presentation bags, but if you wish to you can.

The important thing is to have fun creating your cards! We have samples in the shop and on the web site.

As you can see, since we closed the shop before Christmas, time has flown and we have not got the website updated, a workshop list organised, or even the van-fulls that left the shop sorted! We promise that we are working our hardest to get organised, and a class list will be coming.

So for the moment we are taking the web-shop down, as we are unable to accept card payments at the moment, but it will be back as soon as possible.

Thanks for your patience, and if you would like to go on a post or email mailing list to keep up to date with what is going on, we can still be contacted by emailing info@dorrie-doodle.com.
